Message from Damian Bacchoo, High School Principal UWCSEA East
We are delighted to welcome you to this SEASAC tournament and excited that so many teams will be represented to enjoy the wonderful game of Badminton together.
Getting to this point, we know, has taken many hours of commitment on behalf of you all. Refining skills through frequent practice takes not only dedication and management to balance many aspects of your lives, but it will also help shape and develop your ethos as a team. It is often the values that we adopt in such competitions that stay with us, even after we may no longer be able to play the game! We trust that the challenges and excitement of competition also build great camaraderie - it is one of the most important aspects of playing at SEASAC. We know that friendships that begin here are often maintained for years, and we hope that you find it this way.
A sustainable future is a part of the UWCSEA mission, and for this SEASAC event there has been a lot of thought put towards this goal. The Activities Department, together with our Service and Sustainability team, have collaborated with a sustainable focus to implement ideas that can make a difference to the environment. So, to all teams, their coaches, parents who have supported you, and the many people who have helped to organise this weekend, thank you for the part you played to get here and enjoy every minute of the weekend ahead.
